Biografie

Another formidable Dutch trance DJ with quite an impressive career! Like his peers, Ferry’s love for electronic music started at a young age. When he was a teenager he would do all kinds of chores in the neighbourhood to make money so he could buy his first synthesizer. At the age of 17 he released his first record with his friend Robert Smit called 'The Spirit of Adventure'. His first national success was surprisingly not under his own name, but a pseudonym called ‘Moonman’ and international success arrived in 1999 under another(!) pseudonym, System F. The song 'Out of the Blue' reached the UK charts top 20 and since then Ferry’s name started the spread globally. Awarded by his own country for considerable contribution to the music industry, it is probably easier to say where Ferry hasn’t performed than to mention all the places he has seen. He’s held stage at major events such as Ultra Music Festival US, Stereosonic Australia and Dance Valley in The Netherlands. And he is of course no stranger to party island Ibiza, having performed there at Privilege and Eden. He’s collaborated with almost every other impressive Trance DJ such as Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Aly & Fila. He is, however, also not a stranger to other genres like progressive house, having worked together and performed with artist duo's Bassjackers and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Of course, a DJ phenomenon does not only spin records, he produces as well, and of course is head of his own label. In 2005 he founded Flashover Recordings. Also one of his biggest accomplishments is his radio show Corstens’s Countdown, which is aired in over 30 countries. We’re starting to see a pattern here, with these ‘there’s nothing we can’t do’ superstar DJs, and are starting to think they’re going to outlive us all…
